In addition to the regular Thursday session last week, where we hosted NEVCA Open Office Hours and a reprise of the popular Bill Warner seminar, “How to Build Your Startup from the Heart”, the cafe also hosted Boston World Partnerships’ Strategy Session as part of what we hope is the beginning of a continuing partnership. Welcome back to all of our regulars and thank you to all our newcomers for coming to check out the cafe.
We also tapped a new keg this week of Kona Brewing Co.’s Longboard Island Lager – a light and refreshing Hawaiian microbrew.
The cafe has a few new events on the horizon and we are able to announce the July NEVCA Open Office Hours VCs, including Marc Herson from Softbank, Eric Hjerpe from Kepha Partners, Antonio Rodrigues from Matrix and Ben Levitan from In-Q-Tel. Sign up here.
This Thursday June 17 the cafe is proud to host:
- From 3-5pm Michael Gaiss of Highland Capital Partners answering questions about the new program on which they partnered with Mashable – the PepsiCo10, “an open call and partnership between PepsiCo and up to 10 of the most promising start-ups in media, communications and technology.”
- From 4-6pm MassChallenge‘s Entrepreneur Mix and Match.
- For the first time, and likely not the last, we will be extending our hours until 8pm. This time so that C3′s own Seeding Labs can host an International Development Technology Tweetup (#IDTechUp), which will be a regular third Thursday event. Sign up here: idtechup.eventbrite.com. Nina Dudnik will be welcoming four chemists from Kenyatta University for their summer as Seeding Labs/Novartis Fellows.
We look forward to seeing you in the cafe soon, and as a reminder, if you haven’t connected your LinkedIn profile to your account, please do so now.
